A.A. deFreese is literary translator and poet. Her works and literary translations have previously appeared in Indiana Review; New York Quarterly; Crazyhorse; Southwestern American Literature; Waxwing; Puerto del Sol; The Southern Review; Quick Fiction; Gulf Stream Magazine; The Midwest Poetry Review; The South Coast Poetry Review; Margins: Exploring Modern Magical Realism, and other publications. She recently published other translations of work by Luis Chitarroni in Asymptote, The Bangalore Review, and Perceptions Literary Magazine, where her translation about Erasmus Darwin won their 2019 Prize in Fiction and Nonfiction.
