Eric Machan Howd
Eric Machan Howd (Ithaca, NY) is a professor of professional and technical writing at Ithaca College. His poems have appeared in Nimrod, River City, The Healing Muse, ellipses, and Yankee Magazine. He was a recent guest poet and lecturer at the “Contacts and Similarities Between Slovenian and American Poetry” conference in Ljubljana, Slovenia. While there, he shared his poetry and an excerpt of his essay “A Non-Binary Approach to the Arts: the Continuum of Word and Song.” His fifth collection of poetry, “Universal Monsters,” was published in 2021 by The Orchard Street Press and can be purchased at their Web-site.
