James Harmon Clinton is the author of What Is Fair, a book of verse published by Louisiana State University Press. His poems have appeared in Spoon River Poetry Review, Xavier Review, CrossRoads, Pembroke, Chattahoochie Review, the Raleigh News & Observer, and elsewhere. His essays, policy research, and op-eds have been published widely in newspapers, journals, and standalone reports. What he does for a living is a mystery, especially to his family and (non-profit) employer. James was nominated for a Pushcart Prize in 2021 for his poem “My Second Mind” by the editors of this publication.
