Kat Meads
Kat Meads is the author of the essay collection 2:12 a.m., essays inspired by insomnia, which received an Independent Publishers (IPPY) Gold Medal and was a Foreword Reviews Book of the Year finalist. Her first essay collection, Born Southern and Restless, was published by Duquesne University Press as the recipient of the press’s Emerging Writers in Creative Nonfiction Award. Her nonfiction has since appeared in New England Review, Southern Review, AGNI online, Southern Humanities Review, American Letters & Commentary, Chautauqua, Zone 3, Chicago Quarterly Review and World Literature Today, among other literary journals.
