Job’s Evil Dreams, William Blake

Job was also a poet.  Did you know she suffered a stranger kind of wager when she was banished from Montevideo? She lost her country and city, lost her right to stay in order to live at all.

Freedom imposed from without is not free. Crossing a desert is crossing the sea but escape does not equal an exile.

She lost her library. But vanity went overboard with it in that long night of her flight to life, & other insights gave wave-like rise to a poetry without boundary, lived freely, the Word, when Fascist Satan assumed he was Lord.
